It’s well into 2016 and until yesterday, I was still not convinced about Pantone’s choice for color of the year-make that colors of the year. For the first time ever, Pantone combined two colors for its top honor: Rose Quartz and Serenity.
I was skeptical about Serenity’s ability to hold its own without being reminiscent of a 1970s blue prom tux; the Rose Quartz being too juvenile; and neither having a proper place outside of a baby shower.
But then I considered Debbie Reynolds in Singing in the Rain and all of a sudden it clicked. Combined, the colors are soft, dreamy and feminine. It doesn’t get any more romantic than this. The color is at its best paired with floaty chiffons and other soft, warm neutrals. Check out these ideas for incorporating the blush Rose Quartz and tranquil Serenity colors into your event.
